How many registered Democrats skip midterms in CA-10?

A good strategy for flipping CA-10 blue is going to require people working on all fronts: those registering new voters (shout out to Register Blue!), those reframing current issues to swing Trump-leaning voters back to Democrats (shout out to Working America's proven Central Valley strategy!) and someone ensuring that our base doesn't skip the election (that's us)!  How important is it to make sure our base doesn't fail to get out and vote?

Important enough to threaten people with plagues of bees.

Activating midterm skipping Democrats in 2018

In 2012 in CA-07, 280,000 people voted in the race for Congressional seat #7.  Dr. Ami Bera (Democrat) won that seat and Obama won a second term.   In 2014 when there was no Presidential race on the ballot, many people skipped that election.  In 2016 they returned.   How bad is the midterm skipping problem?  This graph makes it clear.

So what are we going to do about it?

Tshirts for 2016/2012 volunteers

It's time to put in your order for a tshirt if you volunteered this last cycle.  Below the fold you'll see the design I'm setting up for the order.  Volunteer Cheryl McKinney is re-drawing my crude sketch, but it won't look radically different than this.

If you volunteered while another member of your family (or friend) kept an eye on children or pets, it's certainly ok to order them a shirt as well.  As you have often heard me say, "The revolution needs childcare."   But please do not order shirts for people who didn't volunteer.  You can obtain your ordering link from the Away Team member who was with you.  For Sacramento/Reno/anywhere-else that's Shabbir, or Hope for Arizona that's Shayna, or for New Hampshire that's Michael Rowan.
